Why does my syringe say insulin?

We use insulin syringes because they are the appropriate size with a very small needle so they do not hurt. They are ideal for subcutaneous injections.

What are the side effects for semaglutide?

Common side effects of semaglutide are usually mild and may include:

  1. Nausea
  2. Vomiting
  3. Diarrhea
  4. Constipation
  5. Abdominal pain
  6. Decreased appetite
  7. Indigestion

The majority of side effects are transient and typically resolve spontaneously. Nevertheless, if side effects persist or deteriorate, seek guidance from a healthcare professional.

How do I take semaglutide?

Semaglutide is administered once a week via a subcutaneous injection.

What happens if I stop the medication?

If you stop taking semaglutide abruptly, there may be a reversal of the weight loss effects and potential to regain the lost weight.

Will I lose muscle mass

Bodybuilders frequently incorporate these medications into their pre-competition preparations. There is no necessity for muscle loss to be associated with the use of these medications.

I’m considering Willow. What should I know about GLP-1 medication shortages?

Willow prioritizes swift medication delivery for patients, from initial prescriptions to refills. We have not seen the same shortages for compounded semaglutide as have been seen for other forms of GLP-1s.

Can I join Willow if I have pre-diabetes, diabetes, hypertension, or other pre-existing conditions?

We cannot accept individuals with diabetes since we are unable to monitor their blood sugars and adjust their diabetic medications. However, we do welcome those with pre-diabetes and hypertension.

I’m not sure about injectable medications. Why do Willow doctors prescribe these types of medications?

The injectable form of GLP1s is much more effective at weight loss than the oral form. Although the idea of injecting yourself with medication can be intimidating, it is safe and simple to do. After the first injection, most patients are very comfortable with the process.

Why use medication for weight loss?

Extensive scientific evidence categorizes obesity as a chronic, complex disease requiring medical intervention. Genetics, hormones, and environmental factors contribute to 70 percent of cases. Conventional diets often result in weight cycling, hindering sustained weight management. Willow's program, designed by an obesity medicine specialist, delves into individual root causes. Board-certified doctors provide solutions for your weight loss journey.

Can I use my own pharmacy to fill my prescription?

Of course! We utilize e-prescribing to send the provider's choice of medication to the patient's choice of pharmacy. Just remember that if you choose to opt out of using one of our partnering e-pharmacies, you will be responsible for covering your medication costs.

Why was I not eligible for the program?

Ensuring your health and safety is our utmost priority at all times. Occasionally, specific pre-existing conditions, medical history, health data, or the presence of conflicting medications may pose potential risks, preventing the safe and effective use of the current prescription medication we provide.
